When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try. - Ben

I've been feeling nostalgic for the classic Lucasarts adventure games, and decided there wasn't enough Full Throttle fanart around - so I give you this. I'm really pleased with how it came out.

I didn't trace directly from scenes from the game but I used a lot of reference, which is why they may look similar. The Full Throttle Movie by VGMD [link] was where I got screenshots.

I'd also like to dedicate the piece to Roy Conrad, 1940 - 2002. Ride on, Polecat.

Wow...This is amazing. I love this game its one of the best things Lucasarts has ever made since Sam and Max hit the road. Full throttle was one epic game, too bad that it was short and it didnt get a sequel. But if it ever happens I hope they don't use 3D graphics...

But I dont think a sequel will ever happen because most of the people who made Full throttle have left Lucasarts...): But if it ever does, I dont want in 3D like how they did it with "Escape from Monkey island" I heard alot of people were pissed about that...But on the other hand..Nice picture.

Actually, Full Throttle 2 almost happened. When LucasArts was working on the sequel to Sam and Max earlier this decade (before they gave the rights to Tell Tale Games to make the current episodic series), they were also working on a Full Throttle 2 in 3D - there were even screenshots. Of course, it got axed when LucasArts dropped both titles, and so the rest is history. Was really stupid; they based their decision on the assumption that adventure games have gone the way of the dinosaur. That may be somewhat true, but these were sequels to CLASSIC games. They would have sold - as Sam & Max: Freelance Police has proven.

I saw the trailer to one of the canceled full throttle sequels which was "Hell on wheels". It looked like more of a fighting game then a point a click adventure.

Other than that despite that I enjoy Sam and Max by telltale Freelance Police wouldve been amazing if it was finished. now I hear that lucasarts is thinking of going back to the classics like Monkey island and Day of the tentacle in 2015

It seems pretty unlikely we'll see a sequel and even more unlikely that it will be in 2D, unless its developed for a handheld platform. I agree that the original sprites and traditionally animated cut-scenes have a unique charm of their own but I'm not completely averse to the idea of a 3D Full Throttle game. If done in the graphical style of games like Team Fortress 2 or even the new Prince of Persia (with the thick black outlines of the characters) I think they could make a Full Throttle that at least captures some of the flair the original had.

Of course the plot and dialogue would have to be as entertaining as the first game too but I'm not ruling out the possibility of a good Full Throttle sequel yet. I'm just not holding my breath either :) Thanks for the fave!

One of the stories of a sequel for full throttle was called "Payback". It had a good plot but it was too bad that it got shut down. Anyways now that I think of it... I heard lucasarts is thinking of going back to graphic adventure gaming in 2015. I had this idea of doing a petition that would support it and possibly make the games good...

Looks like lucasarts had looked at the success that Telltale games is doing with Sam and Max. Btw did you play the wallace and gromit game that Telltale did?
