Pardon my butchering of Bobby Darin's Beyond the Sea but its been stuck in my head and I feel like it sort of captures the feeling I was going for with this piece. This drawing was motivated by a desire to have some more sci-fi in my gallery, plus I don't draw enough interiors. Drawn in pencil and colored with PS7.

I like it. The general crampy feel of living in space comes out very well in this. I swear those blank piece of papers on the wall need a couple of tasteful chicks on them, though, naked or otherwise. I'm serious too. That would effectively make this image complete imo in terms of the overall atmosphere and look of the occupant. =D

I know exactly what you mean - one of the first things I thought of when I was working on the image was the posters bearing pinup girls like those from WWII nose art. Unfortunately because I drew it in my sketchbook there wasn't much space and I worried about it looking cramped, particularly in the scan. I might still go back and give it a shot though.

No worries! And indeed, I would enjoy to see this properly completed. It deserves it, especially when you've put so much effort its overall feel already. Always cool to see proper backgrounds from ya too.
